B. Cannon of Henri II of France - Audrey Beach

This is the cannon on display at Fort Nelson, Portsmouth. It displays the entwined initials of Henri II and Diane de Poitiers, so linking with Queens' Play. It has always struck me as incongruous to celebrate a beloved mistress by placing your joint initials on a weapon!
